What are the steps to receive your apartment key in your hand?
- Once the project is ready the developer and the builder will send out an email notification to the client i.e., the building completion notice. This notice informs the client that the project is completed and asks the client to complete the rest of the payment to complete the handover
- The client needs to make the remaining payment along with the service charge and management fee
- The client needs to approach any Dewa center to connect water and electricity services
- After completing the steps above, the client needs to send the proof of payment and Dewa connection to the developer
- The client will select a convenient date for final inspection and handover of the apartment key
- During the final inspection, a member from the handover team will show all the amenities to the client. The client must also ensure that everything is working and finished in the apartment
- The client must report any issues or problems to the member of the handover team
IMPORTANT TIP – If the client is unable to be there physically during the handover, the client must provide a power of attorney to someone trusted who will complete the handover on behalf of the client
